Groth Wedding at The Cottage Farmhouse
Shooting weddings, you get asked a lot of questions and comments similar to "Ohhh my Gooood you must work with so many bridezillas!" And the truth is.. No. I don't. I have never had one bridezilla. Every bride that I have ever had has been genuine, sweet, and generous! The truth is, working in the wedding industry, you always see the best of people. They are so in love. So giddy. And with their lives being in the most magical season they may ever see, they are just so good. Just beautiful, pure goodness. To be completely honest, the hardest part of shooting weddings, is the very end. Because I get to know the best in people. I get to meet their family, and their friends. We get to share hopes and dreams, and I have the honor of being such a huge part of the most important day of their life. I sit, and listen to the vows and speeches, and it is rare that I dont cry too. I leave with such an emotional attachment. I leave with a new close friend. And nothing could be more true when I talk about Brittaney and Andrew. When I met them 7 months ago, I already knew we would get along well; because she was referred to me by her best friend, my beautiful cousin Crystal. Still, I never would have thought we would get along as well as we did. We have talked so consistently over the silliest, most irrelevant things during this process! We have giggled, and whispered, gotten to know each other so well, that I completely broke down during her sister Chelseas' speech. I mean, major break down. Bawling like a baby, hiding my face behind my camera, mentally giving myself pep talks kind of break down. Because not only was it the most beautiful speech I have ever heard, it was the MOST TRUE.
Andrew and Brittaney, you two were made for each other. I have never seen two people so well suited for each other. I get to be privy to such beautiful little moments on a wedding day and I just cant help but gush over the love you have for one another. The look on your faces during the first look. The whispers and glances. The hand holding and little moments between all the rushing.. The body language. It matters. And watching you two is completely inspiring. I love you both and I cannot wait to see what life has coming for you. All the best dear friends.
In addition, I would like to give a huge, huge thank you to my very dear, very talented friend Danielle Larson, who helped to second shoot this gorgeous wedding day. Some of her photos are below. Girl, I am so sincerely grateful for our friendship.
