Tiffany and Gages’ Engagement Shoot
This session was my first I have had where the couple were high school sweet hearts. but that wasnt the only reason this was special to me. I have known Tiffany since I was 13 year old, and we were best friends for YEARS. Now, I have said it before, and I will say it again. I have a terrible memory. But I DO remember little bits and pieces of things, like hanging out at the skate park, walking around town together, having heart to hearts with her mom, and being totally jealous of her studded belt. Hahaha my emo self was so jealous of that. If I remember correctly, she accompanied me on my "first date" with a boy at the ripe old age of 14 years old; and was there for birth of my first child at the ripe old age of 16 years old. From the moment we met we were inseperable, and thats how we liked it to be. Years went on, and we grew apart, but kept in touch. I can remember smiling on the phone as she told me about this guy she had met-Gage. She was the only friend I had that I was allowed to hangout with for a reason, she is (and always has been) one of the good ones.
As I walked into her Grandmas' home for their session, I was surprised to realize I was not nervous at all. IMy eyes adjusted to the light, and she scooped me up into a hug. I familiar hug. I looked over and Gage greeted me with a smile, and I realized how long it had been. Too long. We caught up a bit, and got to shooting. I caught myself smiling the whole time as they whispered and giggled and kissed as they posed. I was head over heels at their love. SO. CUTE. I was happy to see my friend so happy. I checked my phone, realizing it had been two hours instead of the usual one. And somehow it didnt seem like enough time.
Tiffany and Gage, thank you so, so much for choosing me as your photographer. I am SO EXCITED to shoot your wedding, and so grateful we all get to hangout again. You're the best! Scroll to the bottom for a really great photo of us circa 2011!
